Your mission

As an Electric Propulsion Engineer (all genders), you will significantly contribute to the design, development, and certification of the aircraft propulsion system. You will work as part of a multi-functional team, reporting to the Head of Propulsion and covering the power plant physical and functional integration, including electric engine and engine control, electric engine thermal management, propeller system & propeller control, power plant mounting system, propulsion system HMI, and the overall power plant hardware and software integration. Your daily tasks will include a variety of technical activities for the propulsion team.
Every day will bring new challenges, and you will be given a healthy amount of responsibility and autonomy, always supported by the team.
Your Day-to-Day:

  • Proactively lead and execute technical tasks within the propulsion department for the Microliner development and certification, from capturing technical requirements to demonstrating compliance.
  • Contribute to the definition, sizing, specification, development, and integration of theaircraftpropulsion system, including cockpit HMIand system maintainability.
  • Develop physical and functional interfaces between thepower plantand theaircraftstructure and related systemsand disciplines.
  • Supportpropulsion system safety analysis and conductsystem engineeringtasks.
  • Supportpropulsion system validation and verification activities.
  • Support the integration ofthepower plantdigital mock-up (DMU) with theaircraft3D model.
  • Select, interact with, and manage suppliers, taking responsibility for work packages related to the development and integration of different propulsion sub-systems.
  • Defineandcoordinate propulsion equipment qualification campaignstogether with suppliers and other stakeholders.
  • Support propulsion system hardware and software testing campaigns, from component test benches to full-scale prototypes, and aircraft ground and flight test campaigns.
  • Provide engineering support for prototype final assembly line.
  • Ensure adherence to all engineering processes and standards and participate in design reviews to meet development and certification goals.

Your profile

  • Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in aircraft propulsion systems within an aerospace OEM. Experience with electric propulsion and/or turboprop systems is a plus.
  • Practical experience with aircraft certification programs (preferably EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25).
  • Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization, or international equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering, safety process analysis, and airborne hardware and software qualification.
  • R esults-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to interact efficiently with customers, authorities, suppliers, and internal organizational units.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple simultaneous tasks.
  • Positive and optimistic attitude, with a collaborative approach in a multicultural team, adhering to company rules and values.
  • Assertive verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in another European language is a plus.
  • Passionate about aviation and the electrification of the aviation industry.
