Senior Onshore Wind Project Developer

As a Senior Onshore Wind Project Developer, you will play a key role in guiding onshore wind energy projects through the approval process, ensuring regulatory compliance and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

1. Oversee the approval process for wind energy projects from planning to construction readiness.
2. Identify and assess potential approval risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
3. Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities and relevant stakeholders.
4. Participate in meetings and discussions with public agencies and partners.
5. Manage communication and coordination between internal and external stakeholders.

Approval Process & Compliance

1. Support the preparation and submission of approval applications.
2. Gather and review all required expert reports and environmental assessments.
3. Drive the approval process by addressing regulatory requirements and compliance needs.
4. Analyse and respond to feedback from authorities, public institutions, and the public.
5. Develop strategies to prevent delays and streamline the approval timeline.
6. Advise project teams on legal and regulatory matters related to approvals.
7. Support objection handling and legal proceedings in collaboration with the legal department.

Your Profile

1. Degree in Environmental Sciences, Spatial Planning, Engineering , or a related field.
2. Proven track record in approval procedures for wind energy projects .
3. Strong knowledge of BImSchG and other relevant regulatory frameworks, including regional planning.
4. Familiarity with industry software such as WindPRO and ArcGIS is an advantage.
5. Experience in project management and cross-functional coordination .
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills .
7. Organized, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work.
8. Fluent in German and English (business level).
9. Possession of a Class B driving license .
