My client, a leading player in the European energy market, is looking for an experienced Power Trader to join their trading team based in Berlin, Germany . This role focuses on optimising trading strategies, managing power positions, and capitalising on market opportunities in European power markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute proprietary trading strategies in the European power markets to maximise profitability.
- Manage short-term and long-term power positions while maintaining market oversight.
- Identify and capitalise on trading opportunities based on market trends, pricing dynamics, and fundamental drivers.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to optimise trading performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, exchanges, and market operators.
- Collaborate with analysts and portfolio managers to enhance trading models and strategies.
- Stay up to date with regulatory developments and market fundamentals impacting power trading.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in power trading, preferably in European markets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and execute profitable trades.
- Deep understanding of power market structures, trading platforms, and risk management techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make data-driven trading decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and an established network within the industry.
