Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid Information Security Consultant role based in Bonn, with flexibility for part‑time remote work. The consultant will be responsible for conducting security assessments, implementing and managing ISMS in accordance with ISO 27001 and other standards, supporting compliance initiatives such as GDPR, NIS2, and TISAX, and providing strategic virtual CISO support. Other responsibilities include performing risk assessments, developing and implementing mitigation strategies, offering cybersecurity training and awareness programs, and assisting in the development of secure IT and cloud infrastructure security strategies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and Information Security Management.
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity and Network Security principles and practices.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations, including GDPR, and compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, TISAX, and NIS2.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and client management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CISSP, CISA, or comparable qualifications are highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with cloud security for platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is strongly preferred.
