Overview
As Senior Security Design Engineer, you will lead security system design for Vantage data centres in the EMEA region, guiding cross-disciplinary teams and external consultants. You will shape physical security solutions, influence site development and product design, and act as the technical authority on security engineering. Your work will reflect industry trends and best practices to deliver safe, compliant, and scalable infrastructure. This role offers impact across high‑value sites and close collaboration with stakeholders to drive cost‑effective security outcomes.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Manage the technical security design process across multiple EMEA data centres
- Collaborate with external design consultants and project teams to ensure security solutions meet requirements
- Provide engineering inputs for site selection, new site development and project initiation
- Review planning, Campus Master-Planning and Test-Fit Designs to validate business objectives
- Represent Vantage as a technical authority with hyperscale customers and investors
- Generate and evaluate high-value engineering ideas with cost-benefit analyses
- Engage with partners to capture lessons and resolve recurring issues
- Lead technical workshops to define project requirements
- Review consultant designs for compliance and quality
- Serve as primary contact for technical security design queries
- Keep up to date with physical security technologies and trends
- Provide technical guidance during tendering and bid reviews
- Participate in design reviews and site inspections
- Ensure compliance with security standards and project criteria
- Coordinate with consultants, integrators, manufacturers, and contractors
- Support projects through planning, design, construction, commissioning and handover
- Maintain consistent technical quality and design uniformity
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Eight+ years in designing physical security solutions
- At least four years in data centre or mission-critical environments (preferred)
- Deep understanding of physical security design concepts and regulatory requirements
- Ability to coordinate security design with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Experience with gated design processes
