Role Description
This contract role as a SAP EWM Senior Consultant is a hybrid position based in Germany, combining on-site client work with some work-from-home flexibility. The consultant will lead and execute SAP EWM design, configuration, and implementation activities, translating business requirements into robust system solutions for warehouse and logistics operations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting process workshops, gathering and analyzing requirements, preparing functional specifications, and collaborating with technical teams on development and integration. The role involves system testing, user training, and go-live support, as well as troubleshooting and continuous improvement of existing SAP EWM landscapes. The consultant will coordinate with cross-functional teams, provide expert guidance to stakeholders, and ensure that project deliverables meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP EWM configuration and implementation, including inbound, outbound, storage, and internal warehouse processes.
- Proficiency in end-to-end supply chain and logistics processes, with the ability to translate business requirements into SAP EWM solutions.
- Experience working in hybrid project environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in Germany and internationally.
- Ability to conduct workshops, document functional specifications, and support testing, training, and go-live activities.
- Solid understanding of SAP integration points (e.g., SAP ERP/S4HANA, WM, TM) and basic knowledge of related technical concepts.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are highly beneficial.
- Proven track record in consulting or project-based work, with strong problem-solving, analytical, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project needs in a contract setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in German or European warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environments is an advantage.
