We are looking for an experienced Physical Operator Crude to support our Crude Oil trading activities. The role sits within our Trading team in Baar, which manages crude, fuel oil and feedstock flows linked to our refineries as well as the market.
You will work closely with Traders, Commercial Analysts and Refining Teams on a daily basis and play a key role in ensuring our physical operations are executed reliably and accurately.
This role is based in Central Switzerland, and office based.

Your Key Responsibilities
Manage daily voyage operations, liaising with VAROPreem traders, loading and discharge terminals, inspectors, rail/pipe operators where applicable, and commercial counterparts to ensure timely and accurate execution of commercial commitments;
Identify optimization opportunities around operational matters, as well as potential risks and develop mitigation strategies;
Ensure systems are kept up to date so that inventories are properly controlled, and hedging requirements executed and payment obligations are executed accurately;
Coordinate with Treasury and Credit teams to ensure financing is in place and that purchase/sales are not subject to financial holds;
Work with the refining team to ensure refinery scheduling requirements are reflected in operational plans;
At month-end, ensure activities are accurately reflected in reporting, cost provisions are updated, and system data aligns with inventory reports from terminals and pipelines.
Your Profile
A Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent;
You have at least 5 years of experience in oil trading operations within an international trading environment;
Familiarity with European crude grades and infrastructure will be advantageous. You are fluent in English. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly Swedish, German, or French, is a plus;
You have a strong eye for detail and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality work;
You are proactive, responsive, and reliable, with a hands-on approach to your responsibilities;
You are a clear communicator with a creative, solution-oriented mindset, able to build effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders across the business;
You perform well under pressure and are able to prioritize effectively in a dynamic trading environment.
