YOUR CHALLENGES
To be prepared for future applications and market demands for our products, we are looking to bolster our competence in the domains of materials and surface treatment technologies, facing challenges in corrosive environments and material deposition in semiconductor processes.
- Be the specialist for materials and surface treatment technologies for vacuum applications in our technology development projects as well as early technology scouting.
- Investigate and test different materials, coatings and methods.
- Identify and support deriving material specifications from customer requirements.
- Extend our network and partnerships with suppliers, customers, and R&D institutions.
- Evaluate and apply accelerated testing procedures and setups.
- Develop and characterize scalable material concepts for new product generations.
- Participate in a multi-location R&D organization (Haag, Zürich), some work-related travel is required (max. 20%).
- Documentation of know-how regarding the use and applications of our materials at our end customers (e.g. lithography, inspection systems, deposition or etching processes, vacuum technology).
YOUR COMPETENCIES
- MSc or PhD degree in material science, physics, chemistry or related field.
- 5+ years of industry experience on material-related topics.
- Work experience in vacuum technology is an add-on.
- Negotiating skills in English and German (fluent in spoken and writing).
- In-depth understanding of semiconductor vacuum processes is beneficial.

You are used to working independently, proactively and in an organized manner. You have a strong ability to work in a team and care about interdisciplinary interface functions.
