Overview As Global Machining Leader, you will steer the central GIEPT machining team and synchronize across CH, RO and MY to uphold world-class CAM and machining standards. You drive the global optimization portfolio, turning cycle-time gains into released capacity and business value. You’ll shape technology standards, validate new processes, and ensure robust governance with cross-functional partners. Own and continuously improve global CAM guidelines, machining standards, tooling, and golden process packages; ensure CAM systems, post-processors and work instructions are current, auditable and applied. Lead the global machining optimization program as a governed operating model; prioritize opportunities by volume, cycle time, bottlenecks, feasibility, risk and impact; drive improvement tracks and capacity release. Translate cycle-time reductions into released machine hours and capacity impact; manage Gate criteria, evidence and decision rights for optimization initiatives across RO/CH/MY. Support multi-site execution, test runs, early involvement in parts, operator feedback, and KPI realization; define technology standards for machines, tools, automation interfaces and CAM infrastructure; assist in FAT/SAT and procurement as needed. Ensure no optimization is released to serial production without technical validation, measurement protocols and required approvals; represent VAT machining interests with system and tool suppliers.
