Business Analyst As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a central role in shaping data-driven decision-making at VAT by translating business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications. You will work closely with stakeholders across business and IT to ensure that analytics solutions are aligned with strategic goals and deliver measurable value. You’ll be part of a global IT team spanning Malaysia, Switzerland, and Romania, collaborating across time zones and cultures. Your work will help ensure that every decision-maker at VAT has access to the right data and insights —at the right time and in the right format—to drive operational excellence and customer value. Responsibilities Lead and mentor Business Analysts and continuously challenge and improve internal business analysis processes to ensure operational excellence and maximized value delivery for VAT Create and maintain Solution Design Documents (SDDs) to capture, refine, and translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for data and analytics solutions Consult with business stakeholders across domains (e.g. procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, sales) to understand their needs, challenge initial requests, and propose fit-for-purpose solutions Collaborate with IT teams, including analytics engineers, data engineers, architects and functional consultants to ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementation Support the development process by providing initial data exports, performing manual test cases, and conducting first-level validation of analytics solutions before business handover Educate and support key users and end users on the design, value, and intended use of analytics solutions, including clarifying limitations and preventing misinterpretation of data Contribute to agile delivery by participating in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups as part of a cross-functional team Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar role within IT, data
