YOUR CHALLENGES
The manufacturing of a high-end microchip requires over 2000 production steps. Vacuum valves are considered to be a critical component as they are in proximity to the semiconductor wafer and have impact on the process performance. Semiconductor fabs like Intel, Samsung or TSMC have increasing expectations to productivity and production yield. These fabs are increasingly using data generated along the manufacturing process to improve production performance. Smart, connected vacuum components are required for smart semiconductor manufacturing fabs enabling predictive maintenance, increasing performance and productivity. To develop the required smart valve systems, we are looking for skilled Test Engineer with passion for sensors and vacuum technology. In addition your responsibilities are:
- Testing, assessment of components and prototypes of advanced sensors and actuators in our new R&D innovation center
- Development and assembly of experimental setups
- Setup, perform and document experiments (DoE) including results in organized and structured way
- Organization, maintenance of the Lab environment and experimental setups
- Cooperate among cross-functional teams of experts within VAT R&D global organization
YOUR COMPETENCIES
- Physics Laboratory technician, BSc or MSc Engineering Degree / Degree in Applied Sciences (FH)
- Some years’ experience with experimental setups and vacuum technology
- Background in automation and PLC is very beneficial
- Data analytics skill set and scripting (Python) for the purpose of data processing is desired
- Proven knowledge in developing concepts, prototyping and industrialization of electronics or mechatronic products
- Hands on, systematic and structured way of working, with strong problem solving and communication skills
