Location
Description
Responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of the Online Analytics department. Ensuring the safe, cost-effective, and compliant operation of analytical, process analytical, and gas detection systems, as well as overall plant availability, in accordance with all HSE, AQS, and quality standards.
Coordination of maintenance and repair activities, continuous development of employees and work processes, and support of optimization initiatives to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities and accountability
Requirements and expertise
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for the Online Analytics team and coordinate external service providers and resources to ensure safe and efficient plant operations
- Ensure the availability, operational safety, and compliant maintenance of analytical, process analytical, and gas detection systems
- Plan, manage, and monitor maintenance, inspection, and servicing activities, while continuously optimizing workflows, standards, and maintenance strategies
- Take responsibility for the preparation and coordination of activities during plant shutdowns, projects, technical modifications, and special measures; coordinate and monitor recurring service and inspection activities
- Support fault analysis, troubleshooting, continuous improvement processes, and the implementation of sustainable optimization measures
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements, as well as support audits, inspections, and safety assessments
- Contribute to budget planning, cost control, work order approvals, and commercial administration within the area of responsibility
- Ensure the implementation and continuous development of the Maintenance Work Process (MOWP), including work preparation, planning, schedule tracking, and process optimization
- Monitor the ongoing weakness analysis process for online equipment and develop qualified measures to address and eliminate identified weaknesses
Personal skills
Education
- Successfully completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field, combined with further qualification as an Industrial Master Craftsman (German Meister) or State-Certified Technician in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechatronics, or a completed degree in Electrical Engineering.
- An equivalent qualification or comparable professional background is also acceptable.
- Several years of professional experience in the fields of process analytics, analytical instrumentation, gas detection technology, or industrial maintenance
- Experience in personnel leadership and coordination of external contractors
- Good knowledge of:
- Process analytical measurement methods and analytical systems
- Maintenance management
- Test equipment management and quality assurance
- Occupational safety and explosion protection
- Basic knowledge of process engineering and process technology is desirable
- SAP-based maintenance processes
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a high level of personal accountability and role-model behavior
- Confident presence as well as strong communication and motivational skills
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
- High sense of responsibility for occupational safety, quality, and plant availability
- Strong organizational skills, combined with a forward-thinking and commercially minded approach
