Head of Capital Formation & Investor Partnerships (Principal or Partner level)
Our client is a leading European early‑stage venture capital fund with a strong track record of backing exceptional founders before they become obvious. The firm has raised several fund generations, built a highly engaged community of angel investors and industry experts, and supported multiple companies from seed and pre‑seed through to unicorn status and category leadership. Its portfolio spans high‑growth technology businesses across digital, fintech, energy technology, healthcare‑related and deeptech sectors.
In this role, you will take ownership of investor engagement and capital raising across the platform. You will work closely with the leadership team, build and deepen relationships with existing and new investors, and help shape the next phase of growth.
Your focus will include:
- Leading investor‑facing activities across the firm’s venture capital products
- Building and expanding relationships with institutional investors, family offices and private investors
- Leading fundraising initiatives and investor engagement, including preparation and coordination of investor due diligence and KYC processes
- Establishing scalable reporting and controlling processes to ensure transparency, data quality and institutional investor readiness
- Representing the firm externally in investor meetings, roadshows and selected events
- Contributing to new product ideas, market strategies and broader platform development
- Leading and developing an experienced Investor Relations / Investor Partnerships team
We are looking for someone with:
- 8+ years of experience in investor relations, institutional sales, fundraising, capital formation, or a related client‑facing role
- A strong investor network (esp. institutional investors) in the DACH region and beyond
- Proven experience in fundraising, LP engagement or investor partnerships
- Strong understanding of venture capital, private markets and the European tech ecosystem
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
- A strategic mindset combined with hands‑on execution
- Willingness to be based in Berlin or Munich
