Lead Sales Manager – Mobile Water Services DACH (m/f/d)

VEOLIA Water Technologies & Solutions is currently searching for a Lead Sales Manager – Mobile Water Services DACH to assume responsibility for driving outsourced water solutions sales for short, mid & long term contracts. Reporting to the Regional Sales Leader MWS, the candidate will work in an international and highly stimulating environment, with frequent contact with team members both in the region and overseas. He/she works closely with a diverse functional team, including sales, C&E team (Commercial Engineering), Global Field Service, and Corporate. The job requires a highly motivated, persistent, and sales-driven spirit.
Essential Responsibilities
- Act as an expert (technical and commercial) in the market for growing the Veolia brand as a provider of mobile temporary water service & outsourced solutions.
- Develop and execute growth strategies and action plans to maintain the network of water users, in line with the company capabilities and expectations.
- Develop opportunities in the DACH region by solving critical issues the industries are facing around water treatment.
- Actively educate end-users throughout the region on the benefits of implementing an Emergency Water Plan. Achieve the given sales targets consistently throughout the year.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts as demanded by the organization.
- Understand customer needs, qualify leads, and work closely with the sales supporting functions to provide competitive solutions for our customers and drive the sales cycle.
- Support company campaigns and gather market information for fleet unit technology and other new developments.
- Promote company solutions, including customer meetings, conferences, and delivering papers; identify market trends and changes in local legislation that trigger the use of the company’s solution portfolio. Adhere to all internal procedures and tools related to risk review stages and bid preparation, forecasting.
- Work closely with other sales managers in the region to create synergies and ensure seamless execution of the region’s growth strategies.
- Assist project managers and project engineers in the preparation of bidding/execution hand-over procedures; make integrity a main driver for his/her activities.
Qualifications
- Results-oriented – driven by an unwavering passion to hit sales targets year over year.
- Commercial mindset – adept at reading through client needs and developing a win strategy by delivering value to the customer.
- Proven knowledge of selling temporary solutions (containerized units such as Ion exchange, RO, UF, etc.) and/or water treatment services is a plus.
- Proven expertise in water treatment for large industries, focusing on power, refining, petrochemical, and chemical sectors.
- Solid technical sales experience in the water environment, ideally in service offerings.
- Deep understanding of water market dynamics; brings an extended network of contacts in industrial sites, water companies, contractors, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree (Laurea) in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience; Master’s or PhD degree or equivalent is a plus.
- Fluent in English and German; French language is a plus.
- Team player – passionate about working with the Veolia team and engaging successfully with clients.
- Self-motivated – capable of stepping up with seniority in front of any layers within the client organization.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Currently living in Germany or willing and eligible to relocate to Germany.
