In this role, you will advance the perception stack for warehouse drone systems, turning 2D/3D sensor data into reliable inventory signals. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy robust perception solutions that perform well in real-world warehouse conditions. Your work directly impacts client operations by enabling accurate counting, localization, and inventory understanding. The position offers hands-on work with cutting-edge models and meaningful influence on deployment and product outcomes.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Adapt, fine-tune, and evaluate open weight models for warehouse environments (detection, segmentation, VLMs)
- Develop robust perception solutions addressing occlusion, poor lighting, reflective packaging
- Analyze failures on real drone data and loop insights back to production
- Optimize models for deployment on drone hardware and cloud inference
- Gather on-site client insights to translate operational needs into tractable perception problems
Zentrale Anforderungen
- MSc or PhD in CS, robotics, ML, or computer vision (or equivalent experience)
- Several years of hands-on experience building CV or ML systems that shipped to real users
- Strong practical depth in deep learning for visual perception (training, fine-tuning, evaluation, failure analysis)
- Experience in object detection, segmentation, depth estimation, OCR, 3D perception, or multimodal vision models
- Solid Python and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Clear communicator in English
