Vestas Technology & Operations > Technical Sales Management North & Central Europe (NCE) Onshore
The Technical Sales Management NCE Onshore department serves as the technical backbone of the Sales organization, effectively bridging commercial goals with engineering feasibility and organizational readiness.
Within this structure, the SCADA Project Management team plays a pivotal role across the full lifecycle of wind power plant projects—from early-stage sales support through construction, commissioning, and into service operations. The team works with a diverse customer base, primarily consisting of large utilities and professional investors managing complex, high-value energy assets, where SCADA performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance are essential.
This role operates at the intersection of technology, commercial decision-making, and project delivery. You will collaborate closely with customers, grid operators, internal execution teams, and R&D to ensure that SCADA solutions are not only technically robust but also commercially practical, compliant, and scalable across various regional and regulatory environments.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end SCADA solution for wind power plant projects, ensuring clear definition, execution, and timely delivery
Support sales and customer engagements by providing technical expertise and ensuring solutions are aligned with customer needs and contract requirements
Lead and coordinate SCADA execution activities, ensuring delivery is on time, within scope, and meets quality standards
Ensure installation, integration, and commissioning of SCADA systems in collaboration with site teams and key stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, construction, service, R&D, customers, and grid operators to ensure compliant and optimized solutions
Proactively identify risks, drive continuous improvements, and contribute to the development of SCADA best practices and standards
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering or a related field (e.g., Electrical, Control Systems, SCADA, Computer Science, or similar)
Experience as a SCADA Engineer with project management exposure or a Project Manager with SCADA expertise in power/energy environments
Good understanding of power systems and electrical infrastructure
Experience within the wind energy sector or industrial power generation environments is advantageous but not essential, including exposure to power plant controllers, PLCs, servers, and communication protocols
Good understanding of cyber security principles in industrial control or SCADA systems (e.g., risk awareness, regulatory considerations, and secure system design) is an advantage
Fluency in English (written and spoken) and German language knowledge (written and spoken) is beneficial
Excellent project leadership skills, with the ability to delegate effectively, coach team members, and promote an inclusive working environment
Confident in managing technical and commercial risks within complex, multi-stakeholder projects
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable insights
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across international and multidisciplinary teams and build effective stakeholder relationships
Structured and proactive problem-solving mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
Customer-focused and results-driven, able to work with a high degree of self-management
The actual salary is significantly higher than the minimum salary stipulated in the collective agreement (minimum salary stipulated in the collective agreement for the metal industry for job group IV in the 1st year: 47.810,14€ (annual salary) - years of employment in the same job group also increase the minimum salary).
