I. Position Objective Focus on major retail chains in Germany (e.g., MediaMarkt, Saturn, Euronics). Manage the three core retail pillars— Place (store atmosphere & activities), Product (inventory & display), and People (sales staff & promoters)—in close collaboration with the national distributor/agent. The role is not only executional but also strategic: providing actionable insights and recommendations to drive efficient retail operations, strengthen brand presence, and ensure sustainable sales growth. II. Key Responsibilities 1. Place Management (Store Experience & Events) Co-plan and execute retail marketing activities with the distributor (e.g., new product launches, roadshows, seasonal campaigns). Oversee POP materials, display stands, and in-store branding implementation. Assess ROI of retail activities and optimize resource allocation across people, product, and place. 2. Product Management (Inventory & Display) Share and monitor inventory data with the distributor to minimize out-of-stock or overstock risks. Coordinate product launches and replenishment to secure timely supply during promotions. Supervise in-store product displays and ensure compliance with brand guidelines. 3. People Management (Sales Promoters & Store Staff) ? Partner with the distributor to recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate retail promoters. Ensure promoters meet company standards in product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service. Co-develop incentive programs with the distributor to boost frontline sales performance. 4. Distributor & Retail Partner Collaboration Maintain regular communication with the national distributor to align on channel strategy and retail execution. Conduct joint business reviews with the distributor to evaluate sales targets, resource allocation, and market feedback. Coordinate with retail chain headquarters and regional managers to ensure consistent policy execution at store level. 5. Data Analysis & Reporting Build data-sharing mechanisms with the distributor, covering Sell-in and Sell-out performance. Deliver retail operation analyses and insight reports to headquarters and distributor teams. Track competitor activities and propose strategic adjustments. III. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, or Retail Management. Experience: 5+ years in retail operations, with at least 3 years in large retail chains in Germany. Proven experience working with distributors/agents and deep knowledge of the German retail ecosystem. Languages: Native/fluent German and strong command of English. Skills: Expertise in retail operations and People-Product-Place management. Strong distributor/channel management capability. Solid data analysis skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally. IV. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Sales Performance: Sell-out growth in retail stores; Sell-in achievement with the distributor. People Effectiveness: Promoter training pass rate, sales conversion rate, team retention. Product Metrics: Out-of-stock rate, inventory turnover, display compliance. Place Metrics: Event execution rate, ROI, customer satisfaction. Collaboration Metrics: Distributor cooperation level, joint project success rate, retail relationship stability.
