Director, Strategy & Operations

As Director of Operations , you will own both strategy and day-to-day operations for Via’s impactful partnerships in the DACH region. This is an opportunity for a truly outstanding entrepreneur to ensure our services are a success and help shape the strategic direction of the business. You’ll need to be a strategic thinker, able to execute complex deals, an operations expert, fantastic people leader, and an exceptionally creative problem solver.

What You’ll Do

1. Take full ownership of a diverse portfolio of markets within the DACH region; set ambitious targets and chase results
2. Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative, cohesive, and energetic culture
3. Design operational strategy and push execution; continuously working to scale processes and systems to drive growth
4. Be the face of Via; develop relationships with strategic partners, public officials, and large suppliers
5. Translate business agreements into fully operational business operations – similarly, identify operational improvement opportunities and transform them into business value
6. Take on a key leadership position and work closely with various leaders across Via to build a united, dynamic, and engaging team environment.
7. Ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and an unbelievable product every day

Who You Are

3. A great communicator in English and German: you can lead discussions in both languages at C2 level and have the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience

5. Savvy and tactful: you intuitively find the right tone in every situation
6. Entrepreneurial: you’re excited to build a new business from the ground up and shape the strategic direction of our company
7. A minimum of 6-10 years of work experience, prior P&L management and/or commercial deal-making experience a plus
8. Willing to travel occasionally for work
