YOUR CHALLENGES:

• Design Our Database Future
  Take charge of designing, deploying, and optimizing PostgreSQL databases and clusters, ensuring they perform at their best and offer maximum reliability.
• Unlock Performance Potential
  Use your expertise to identify and solve performance challenges, from slow queries to inefficient indexing, making a direct impact on our system’s efficiency.
• Ensure Seamless Operations
  Set up and manage monitoring tools to keep a close eye on database performance, quickly tackling any issues and ensuring smooth, uninterrupted service.
• Drive High Availability
  Implement strategies for high availability, including replication, clustering, and failover solutions, and conduct regular disaster recovery testing to keep everything running without a hitch.

  Protect our data by applying top-tier security practices, including user management, encryption, and auditing, all while ensuring we meet crucial standards like GDPR and HIPAA.
• Automation & Scripting
  Leverage Python or similar scripting languages to automate essential tasks like backups, patching, and scaling, freeing up time for more innovative work.

STAND OUT WITH THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience that Counts
  You bring over 5 years of experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator in production environments, with a strong background in large-scale or cloud-based deployments.
• Technical Mastery
  A deep understanding of PostgreSQL architecture, indexing strategies, replication, clustering, and query optimization – an expert in the field.
• Cloud Know-How
  Experience with AWS and/or Azure services, along with a good grasp of cloud-based monitoring and automation tools, will help you thrive in this role.
• Scripting Skills
  Your proficiency in Python (or similar languages) will enable you to automate administrative tasks and improve overall efficiency.
• Security & Compliance knowledge
  Strong grasp of database security principles and relevant regulations or standards.
• Collaboration & Communication
  You excel in communicating complex ideas and collaborating with cross-functional teams, always working towards shared goals and successful outcomes.
• Problem-Solving Mentality
  With a proactive and positive attitude, you enjoy troubleshooting and fine-tuning performance to help systems run smoothly and efficiently.
• Language skills
  Fluency in English (both written and spoken) at a C1 level is required to work effectively in our international environment.
