Role
Consultant Supply Chain Management based in Neckarsulm responsible for advancing forecast models and shaping data-driven operational excellence across Lidl's global supply chain.
The role combines business engineering, process and interface management, end-to-end data integration and prototype development, and executive reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, evaluate and continuously develop processes and systems for data-driven planning and control across the supply chain.
- Manage process and interface topics: identify, analyze and coordinate cross-company information systems with partners, customers and suppliers; collaborate with international stakeholders.
- Lead data integration projects and prototype development (e. g., demand forecast pipelines and end-to-end requirement processes).
- Define, monitor and prepare complex KPIs and cost simulations related to demand forecast, replenishment and logistics.
- Present analytical results and recommendations effectively to top management and department leadership.
- Work with internal and external partners (e. g., Schwarz Digits) on product and process improvements.
Requirements
- Degree in (business) mathematics, business informatics, data science, statistics or comparable qualification.
- Experience in supply chain and logistics environments, and knowledge of ERP/WMS/disposition systems such as SAP (Retail/EWM), Relex, Auto Dispo, x Dock, ELM and Gateway.
- Hands-on mentality, intrinsic motivation to learn and apply new methods, and ability to work proactively in dynamic project settings.
- Strong analytical skills and numerical proficiency; ideally solid knowledge of a programming language (e. g., Python).
- Several years of experience in data analysis and data visualization, plus operational logistics or supply chain management experience.
- Experience with prototyping using AI-assisted programming (e. g., Vibe Coding, KI-Agenten) is a plus.
