Our Facultative Department is looking for an ambitious Facultative Underwriter to join our team in Germany taking ownership for the business origination and account management of assumed Non-Life facultative property reinsurance business in respect of assigned markets, mainly in DACH, the Nordics and The Netherlands.

We provide independent and technical underwriting services carried out by an experienced team across our offices in Czech Republic, Germany and France.

What you can expect:

• Responsibility: A broad spectrum of responsibilities for Property facultative reinsurance business within your assigned authorities. You have the mandate for the analysis, pricing and negotiation of profitable facultative reinsurance business for VIG Re.
• Client focus: You are the counterpart for our clients and partners and represent VIG Re in your allocated markets. You understand client needs, develop solutions, and manage client relationships in a rapidly evolving environment.
• Impact: Take the chance to create daily impact and to shape the future of VIG Re in Munich. You have the unique chance to be part of developing VIG Re in DACH & the Nordics.
• Involvement: Be actively involved with colleagues and initiatives, fostering exchange and cooperation throughout VIG Re. You have the chance to put your ideas into action to design and improve underwriting processes and solutions.

What we expect:

• Professional experience in property single risk underwriting (minimum 3 years, preferably 5+ years).
• Fluent in English and German, knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Solid analytical skills, pragmatic and solution oriented.
• Collaboration and networking, ability to originate new business.
• (Technical) University degree is a plus.
