We are looking for a highly skilled Marine & Transport Claims Professional to join our dynamic Claims Department. Your Tasks
- Independently Manage Claims: Take ownership of claims and tackle our international Marine portfolio with agility, collaborating with stakeholders including the non-litigious resolution of conflicts.
- Make Strategic Decisions: Navigate standard and complex claims matters in all aspects of Marine business, fully understanding their implications on a broader scale.
- Autonomous Processing: Efficiently manage loss notifications, cash calls, and claims assessments in line with our internal standards.
- Data Accuracy: Input data timely and ensure precision for your assigned markets, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Engage and Contribute: Actively participate in market meetings and provide valuable insights to management.
- Drive Innovation: Lead process improvement initiatives, including automating tasks to streamline operations.
- Regular Updates: Keep stakeholders informed with accurate and timely updates.
- Vibrant and Collaborative Environment: Work closely with internal teams like Underwriters, Reinsurance Accounting, and IT Services, while also engaging with external clients and service providers.
We Expect
- Deep Industry Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of insurance and reinsurance along with extensive knowledge of contract wording in the field of Marine business.
- Analytical Expertise: Strong analytical skills, a high degree of diligence, and the autonomy to also tackle complex challenges independently, proposing avenues of resolution.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and the ability to guide junior colleagues effectively.
- Solid Educational Foundation: A university degree or equivalent in insurance training (CII or similar).
- Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in English; Business proficiency in German, French, Arabic, or other additional languages are a bonus.
