Minimax Viking Products Group GmbH is seeking a Software Engineer, Embedded Linux to join the Software Development Team of the Connected & Control Systems department targeting to design, implement and maintain high-quality reliable software used in fire alarm control panels.
As part of our team, you will work on embedded software for advanced hardware with multiple interfaces, delivering reliable solutions for our customers. These systems provide a highly flexible platform used in diverse fire protection and extinguishing scenarios worldwide.

What You Will Do:
- Design, implement, document and maintain the software used in fire alarm control panels.
- Create and integrate customized embedded Linux distributions using Yocto.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers on vulnerability management.
- Support DevOps initiatives to enhance the CI (Continuous Integration) process using tools such as Bamboo, Git, Ansible, and Grafana.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the quality and robustness of embedded software.
What You Bring:
- A completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5-7 years of professional experience in software development, particularly in embedded systems.
- Solid skills in C and another object-oriented programming language, preferably C++ or C#.
- Knowledge of Python is a plus.
- Familiarity with tools and CI processes such as Bamboo, Git, and Jira.
- Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
- Teamwork in a collegial, cooperative, and creative work environment.
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm for teamwork are important to us.
You could be based anywhere in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East or North Africa) with the possibility to work from one of our offices or from home.
You will report to the Team Leader Product Development.
