Institution of the City of Geneva, the Ariana Museum (ARI) – Swiss museum of ceramics and glass – is the only museum in Switzerland entirely dedicated to the ceramic arts and one of the most important in Europe in this field. It preserves more than works covering more than years of history, from the 9th century to the present day. At the heart of its public service mission, the museum develops a rich cultural program and a diversified offer, aiming to make its collections accessible to everyone, from an inclusive and innovative perspective. In order to strengthen its Publics unit, the Ariana Museum is looking for a competent and committed person to join its team as a cultural professional at 40%.Your mission and responsibilities- Develop and implement cultural and scientific projects aimed at strengthening the link between the institution and its audiences.- Design, plan, and carry out cultural programs and mediation activities in connection with temporary exhibitions and permanent collections.- Actively contribute to the promotion of the collections and the influence of the institution, in particular by participating in the acquisition of new audiences.- Develop projects promoting inclusion and accessibility, by proposing activities adapted to diversified audiences, such as school groups, specific audiences, or people with disabilities.- Participate in the organization and coordination of major cultural events, in collaboration with the Publics unit.- Design innovative mediation materials, including digital ones, coordinate interns and civil service workers involved in the projects, and ensure the follow-up as well as the drafting of reports related to the activities conducted.Profile- Hold a Bachelor's degree in art history or history, and in cultural mediation, and have confirmed experience in cultural mediation and project management.- Demonstrate a marked interest in the development of inclusive and accessible projects for all audiences and be comfortable in the design and implementation of cultural mediation.- Have excellent interpersonal skills, know how to work with varied interlocutors, and evolve within a multidisciplinary team.- Master digital tools and demonstrate ease in the creation and transmission of content to different audiences.- Master French and have a B2 level of English; knowledge of German constitutes an asset.Registration procedureApplication deadline:Start date: to be agreedJob classification: Class I of the salary scaleThe application file must contain the following elements:- Cover letter;- Curriculum Vitae or, failing that, completed Job Application form (to be downloaded from our website);- Copies of diplomas and certificates of employment.For the City of Geneva, the recruitment process is decentralized.
