The Cultural Service (SEC) is the contact point for artists and cultural institutions in the fields of performing, visual and digital arts.
Its main missions are to support creation, organise events and manage municipal cultural venues.
To complete its team, the SEC is looking for a Head Usher at 20%Your mission and responsibilities- Supervise and manage the front-of-house staff assigned to the Cultural Service's performance venues.- Monitor the attendance of summoned staff and take necessary measures in case of absence.- Conduct a briefing on the event's progress and write a report afterwards.- Inspect public areas before and after the performance.- Oversee the entry and exit of the audience and watch over the audience during the performance.- Handle any issues related to the audience occurring in the auditorium.- Immediately report to the site manager any technical, safety or behavioural faults or breaches that could endanger the smooth running of the event.- Manage the cloakroom petty cash.
Your profile- Experience in welcoming audiences in performance venues and supervising a team.- Demonstrate thoughtfulness and courtesy towards the public and contacts.- Be receptive to the requests and needs of the public and able to adapt accordingly.- Master spoken and written French.- Keep calm despite various demands, maintaining the necessary perspective.- Be willing to work irregular hours (evenings, weekends, public holidays) and accept to wear the uniform required by the service.
