Information about the position

As our new iOS Staff Engineer, you will be part of the Technologies domain, which is focused on setting and delivering the Marketplace technical strategy. You will work alongside Web, Backend, Android, and QA Staff engineers (all within the Technologies domain), where you will have the opportunity to own, shape, and guide the technical direction of the iOS platform.

In this position, you’ll

• Own the technical vision for iOS (Where we’re going).
• Own the technical strategy initiative roadmap (How to get there).
• Own the overall architecture of the Vinted Marketplace iOS app.
• Set the standards for the resilience and performance of our iOS platform.
• Provide technical leadership and drive innovations in iOS across the Vinted Marketplace and Technologies domain.
• Lead improvements in overall best practices while acting as a force multiplier.
• Share knowledge and expertise both within and outside the team.
• Mentor, sponsor, and serve as a trusted advisor while addressing conflicts fairly and building consensus.
• Represent Mobile & iOS within the Staff/Principal Engineering Group.
• Mentor and coach engineers within the iOS community and iOS technologies team.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with technical expertise.

About you

• Have prior experience as an architect or tech lead, having led cross-team technical initiatives.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing effective strategies.
• A skilled communicator capable of discussing complex topics in detail and the ability to communicate cross function and department.
• Enjoy helping others grow by setting a positive example.
• Extensive experience and deep understanding of the entire lifecycle of software at scale, from development and deployment to maintenance and deprecation.
• Eager to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
