Senior Technical Product Manager - Insurance APIs (m/w/d)

The role

As a passionate, self-directed Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for delivering value by helping digitize processes for insurance companies and internal users. This involves understanding their pain points and how our products address them. You will define a clear vision based on the current environment and target state, collaborating with engineering to deliver this vision.

Responsibilities :

• Define the vision, concept, and roadmap for insurance APIs aligned with company goals.
• Future-proof the current API landscape by identifying new opportunities and enhancements.
• Develop understanding of the insurance API market and strategically position Xempus products.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, including insurance carriers, brokers, third-party ISVs, and internal teams, to gather product requirements.
• Work closely with engineering and business teams to create scalable, secure, and developer-friendly APIs for seamless integration.
• Contribute to the overall product strategy as an active member of the Product team.

What we are looking for :

• 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on API products.
• Strong understanding of API design principles and experience with tools like Postman, Swagger, and OpenAPI.
• Knowledge of insurance processes such as policy issuance, underwriting, and premium calculations is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance industry standards, e.g., BiPRO, is an advantage.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks like GDPR is a plus.
• A track record of delivering value to customers.
• Creative problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and German.
