Solution Architect

As a Solution Architect, you will work closely with internal specialists, product managers, and engineering teams, as well as partner banks, to design and build cashless payment products. You will advise and lead customer projects and architecture initiatives, gather and analyze requirements, design reference architectures, define standards, and solve problems across code, infrastructure, integration, strategy, delivery, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of domain architecture for specific business areas, ensuring alignment with IT strategy and business goals, and delivering measurable value.
• Be a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal partners (Zurich and Bedano TI).
• Work collaboratively with teams and project groups to ascertain holistic solutions, transition, and delivery.
• Contribute to Viseca’s IT strategy; develop standards and roadmaps that match corporate vision and technology development.
• Evaluate new technologies, conduct proof‑of‑concepts, and ensure adherence to architectural guidelines and quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Actively participate in strategic projects in payments and digitization.
• Support requirements analysis and select the right solutions and technologies.
• Review and assess existing architectures, solutions, and project results.
• Document enterprise and system architectures, and prepare technical reports.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science or a related field.
• Several years of hands‑on software development and proven experience as a Solution Architect or Domain Architect.
• Deep practical knowledge of microservices architecture, REST/OpenAPI/gRPC API design, event‑driven systems (e.g., Kafka), cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes); experience in hybrid environments is a plus.
• Strong conceptual understanding of software and domain architecture principles; familiarity with architecture frameworks (SAFe ARCH, TOGAF). Ability to think strategically and dive into technical details.
• Agile mindset; experience engaging stakeholders—including management—in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and managing project‑driven external suppliers.
• Proficient in English and German; ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Fluency in Italian is a plus.
