The role
As a Sourcing Engineer, you will translate real procurement work into clear processes, useful data structures, and reliable AI-native services. You will work between sourcing experts, product, and engineering.
Your work will help ensure that a service is not only technically possible, but also correct, explainable, and useful in a real sourcing context.
Your responsibilities
- Map sourcing processes, decisions, documents, and quality criteria into service workflows
- Work with domain experts to structure methods, rules, and business logic for AI systems
- Define requirements, test cases, and evaluation scenarios for sourcing services
- Investigate outputs, edge cases, and workflow issues and turn findings into improvements
- Coordinate closely with product and engineering teams from concept to production
Your profile
- Experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, process engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong analytical skills and an interest in software, AI systems, and structured knowledge
- Ability to understand complex business processes and explain them clearly
- Comfortable working hands-on with requirements, data, testing, and documentation
- Fluent English; German or another European language is a plus
