Job Description:
- Pay: $14-$22 per hour. Teachers receive a minimum of US $14-$18/hour, with incentives for every lesson.
- Flexibility with no minimum hours and no set schedule.
- Curriculum provided by VIPKid.
- Join an amazing community of 40,000 teachers.
- All VIPKid classes are one-on-one.
- Teaching materials are designed by the VIPKid curriculum team. Teachers must review class materials beforehand and can preview them in the classroom on the teacher portal 6-12 hours in advance.
- No communication with parents is required; VIPKid office staff will handle parent communication.
- Teachers do not always teach the same students; they teach any student who books their class.
- Each class guarantees 25 minutes of active teaching time, with a total time commitment of 30 minutes per class, not including preparation time. 3 minutes are allowed for possible tech problems before a class is canceled.
- To maximize scheduling, teachers should be available for at least 7.5 hours (15 time slots per week at 30 minutes each) during peak Beijing times: Monday-Friday 6-10pm, and Saturday-Sunday 9am–10pm. While full shifts are not required, availability during these times increases the likelihood of being booked.
