We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join a major power generation project in Berlin. This is a long-term freelance opportunity supporting the commissioning and start-up of critical mechanical systems through to handover.
Responsibilities
- Execute mechanical commissioning activities across plant systems and equipment.
- Review commissioning documentation, procedures and test packs.
- Support system walk-downs, inspections and punch-list management.
- Coordinate with construction, engineering and operations teams during testing and start-up.
- Verify mechanical systems are installed and operating in accordance with project specifications.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving commissioning issues.
- Support completion, turnover and handover activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer on power, industrial, energy or process plant projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including pumps, piping, valves, HVAC and rotating equipment.
- Experience working through commissioning, start-up and handover phases.
- Fluent German and good English communication skills.
- EU passport or valid right to work in Germany.
