Overview
In this role you ensure compliance with national and international foreign trade and export control rules. You advise business functions and group companies on foreign trade matters and manage classifications and licensing processes. You assess sanctions, embargoes and end-use risks, and develop the internal export control framework while driving digitalisation of processes. You work with stakeholders across the group to uphold compliant, efficient international trade practices and participate in audits and training.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Ensure compliance with national and international foreign trade and export control regulations
- Advise business functions and international group companies on foreign trade matters
- Assign customs tariff classifications to Voith products
- Determine export control classifications and assess licensing requirements
- Conduct and evaluate business partner screenings and resolve results
- Prepare and submit export licence applications and manage the process with authorities
- Assess applicability of General Authorisations and monitor conditions
- Evaluate complex transactions for embargoes, sanctions, end use and end users
- Develop internal export control framework and drive process optimisation and digitalisation
- Prepare and deliver internal training and support audits
- Draft and update export control documentation and work instructions
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Several years of relevant experience in export control and foreign trade
- Experience with authorities, particularly the German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control
- University degree in business administration, business law, or comparable field, or equivalent professional qualification
- Independent risk assessment and practical recommendation skills
- Good understanding of international business processes and geopolitical developments
- Independent, structured and responsible work approach with sound judgement
- Excellent communication and advisory skills with stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and SharePoint
- Fluency in German and English; additional language skills advantageous
- Willingness to travel 5–10%
