We are actively seeking a People Operations & HR Systems Specialist
to deliver efficient, scalable, and employee‑centric HR services across Volleyball World. As the operational backbone of the People & Culture function, you will be responsible for People Operations, HR systems, payroll coordination, employee lifecycle management, and employee experience. You will ensure our People processes, systems, and data are accurate, efficient, and compliant with Swiss legislation while driving continuous improvement through process optimization and automation. Success in this role requires a hands‑on mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to balance operational excellence with continuous improvement in a dynamic, fast‑paced international sports environment. Key Responsibilities
People Operations & Employee Lifecycle
Manage the end‑to‑end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, internal mobility and offboarding. Administer People Operations and statutory compliance, coordinating with insurance providers, pension fund, work permit authorities, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders. Serve as the first point of contact for employees and people managers, delivering trusted, responsive, and high‑quality People Operations support. HR Systems & Process Excellence
Manage HR systems to ensure efficient, user‑friendly, and compliant People Operations. Maintain accurate employee data and documentation, ensuring data integrity while supporting HR reporting, dashboards, and people analytics. Drive HR systems optimization and digitalization initiatives to simplify processes, automate workflows and improve reporting. Payroll, Benefits & Compliance
Coordinate end‑to‑end payroll process with the external payroll provider, ensuring accurate and timely payroll inputs and reporting. Ensure payroll compliance with Swiss employment legislation, social insurance requirements, internal policies, and annual insurance renewals. Manage the relationship with the Employer of Record (EOR), acting as the primary point of contact to ensure seamless operations and compliance for international employees. Employee Experience & Workplace Support
Coordinate workplace operations, ensuring employees have the tools, systems, and resources they need to succeed from day one. Contribute to employee engagement and culture by supporting internal communications, learning initiatives, company events, and other People & Culture programs. Recruitment Administration
Provide administrative support throughout the recruitment process, including job postings, interview scheduling, maintaining candidate records, preparing offer documentation, pre‑employment paperwork, and onboarding coordination. Qualifications & Experience
Swiss HR Assistant Certificate or another recognized Swiss HR qualification is an asset. 3–5 years of experience in People Operations, HR Administration, or HR Operations, ideally in an international or fast‑paced environment. Good knowledge of Swiss employment law, payroll, and social insurance. Experience with HR systems (Lucca is an advantage) and strong Microsoft 365 skills. Comfortable using technology and data to improve HR processes and employee experience. High attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism when handling confidential information. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and customer service skills. Well‑organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Solution‑oriented, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity and change. Process‑driven with a continuous improvement mindset and a strong sense of ownership. Fluent in English; French is highly desirable.
