Senior Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d)

Your team during this flight :

You will join a highly experienced team in the mechanical engineering department dedicated to creating innovative solutions for complex problems. Our team includes engineers, technicians, and support staff committed to excellence, quality, and successful project completion.

Your mission during this flight :

As Senior Mechanical Engineer – Propulsion, you will oversee all structural aspects of the propulsion unit, including design, stress analysis, testing (durability, static strength, wind tunnel), and compliance demonstration. Your responsibilities include defining test strategies, selecting test benches, preparing test plans and reports, and conducting analyses such as fatigue and damage tolerance.

Qualifications

Check your professional skills :

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• At least 4 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer, including structural analysis and validation of composite and metallic structures
• Experience with FEM simulation tools and hand calculations
• Experience in certifying aerospace structures, preferably propulsion units
• Proficiency with PLM Software, ideally Siemens Teamcenter
• Knowledge of static, fatigue, thermal, and vibration analysis
• Hands-on experience with test activities and documentation
• Motivated, proactive, and autonomous work style
• Fluent in English; German or other languages are a plus
• Experience with aerospace standards such as CS23, CS27, SC-VTOL, DO-160G, EHPS
• Knowledge of HyperMesh, Nastran, OptiStruct, and basic CAD skills (Siemens NX)
• Experience with project management software like Jira
