I\’m Matthias, since November 2024 Interim CFO at VoltStorage GmbH, a Munich-based startup with currently about 70 employees. In 2016, Michael Jakob and Felix founded VoltStorage. As an expert for stationary flow batteries, we want to cover all application areas of stationary battery storage systems with our multitechnological approach and thus contribute significantly to the energy transition.

Job Intro

To keep our big project moving forward, I am currently looking for a Financial Controller. In this position, you will support the Finance Team in steering the company\’s financial management through planning, analysis, and reporting, enabling informed decision-making and ensuring economic stability.

• Planning, managing, and monitoring the annual budget.
• Preparing and analyzing reports for management and shareholders to support informed decision-making.
• Evaluating and analyzing the cost structure as well as developing calculation bases for existing and new products.
• Assisting in the preparation of the financial plan and contributing to the development and implementation of strategies within the fundraising process.
• Preparing for and participating in investor meetings.
• Creating and continuously monitoring liquidity planning while optimizing working capital.
• Analyzing existing processes and structures in the finance department and developing and implementing optimization measures.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Business Administration or a comparable field of study, ideally with a focus on Finance or Controlling.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in Controlling or Financial Management.
• Proficient in MS Excel and ideally experienced with ERP systems.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Structured and independent working style with a high level of accuracy and reliability.
• Interest in developing financial structures and processes as well as a strong affinity for optimizing existing workflows.
