What You Will Do

At Volvo Construction Equipment Germany GmbH you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. As a Chief Project Manager (f/m/d) you will:

• Lead wheeled excavator projects end-to-end, from concept to closure.
• Set milestones and adapt plans together with cross-functional teams.
• Manage budget, risks, resources, and scope.
• Coordinate closely with purchasing, production, and aftermarket.
• Ensure quality and safety compliance, in close coordination with Product Safety.
• Represent your projects in front of the relevant steering committees and decision gates.

We develop wheeled excavators from the first concept through series production, including advanced operator assistance systems that enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety. We bring together diverse expertise to deliver solutions for customers worldwide. We embrace new technologies while maintaining a strong focus on quality, reliability, and customer value. Vehicle Engineering is responsible for overall machine development, project portfolio management, machine safety, and special applications. Who are you?

• Degree in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years experience in leading complex projects
• Proven record of iterative, milestone-driven project delivery
• Strong facilitator, comfortable driving iterative, cross-functional collaboration
• Technical know-how in vehicle hardware development is a strong merit
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira) is a plus
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe
• Fluent in German and English
