Overview

In this role you convert requisitions into purchase orders while ensuring cost, schedule and quality targets. You will negotiate with suppliers, manage supplier relationships, and lead supplier evaluations to secure reliable delivery. You collaborate with internal project teams to mitigate risks and contribute to cross-functional initiatives. Verantwortungsbereiche

• Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders and track delivery, including handling complaints
• Review offers, request quotations, and actively negotiate to optimize terms and sourcing strategies
• Build and maintain supplier relationships and conduct annual supplier reviews
• Manage supplier and commodity groups, research and select new suppliers
• Identify risks early and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on sustainable solutions
• Support contract and price negotiations and contribute to cross-functional projects

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Commercial or technical education or relevant professional background
• Initial practical experience in procurement or expediting, ideally in engineering-related industries
• Proficiency with SAP and procurement systems
• Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
• Affinity for numbers to evaluate offers and terms
• Strong communication, conflict-management, and negotiation skills
