Job Description
Function Description
- Ensure the implementation of the commercial and marketing strategy and policy, particularly based on the objectives set for German-speaking Switzerland.
- Manage and coordinate commercial and marketing activities throughout German-speaking Switzerland.
- Full-time position (100% activity rate), with approximately 4 days spent traveling on the road.
Main Responsibilities
- Regularly visit existing clients and develop the acquisition of new clients to meet the sales budget for German-speaking Switzerland.
- Manage the order portfolio and build trusting relationships with clients in German-speaking Switzerland.
- Organize and participate in trade shows and commercial events.
- Pass on market insights and information gathered to the Sales Manager for the Swiss market.
- Ensure promotional materials are used effectively at points of sale (merchandising).
- Train staff likely to sell our products.
- Maintain regular contact with schools and institutes of viticulture, arboriculture, and landscaping.
- Follow and adhere to the system, its processes, and procedures in place within our organization regarding quality, environmental, and health and safety policies.
Specific Skills or Assigned Tasks
- Prepare offers based on pricing conditions set for the national market by the International Sales Manager.
- Apply exceptional discount and sampling policies within the limits defined for the role.
Professional Knowledge and Required Skills
- At least 5 years of commercial experience as an area manager with a proven track record of meeting sales budgets.
- Commercial training or education relevant to our field of activity (e.g., landscaping, arboriculture, or viticulture).
- Comfortable with selling and presenting technical products.
- Native Swiss-German speaker with oral and written proficiency in German; minimum B2 level in French and English.
- Preferably resides in the Zurich region.
- Ability to work independently.
- Holds a valid driver’s license.
