Managing Director – International Healthcare Venture (gn) Location: Vienna or hybrid in DACH region
Our client is launching an ambitious international venture that connects healthcare, higher education, and global talent mobility. Backed by a well-established international education group, the company operates independently with a clear mission:
To build sustainable education-to-employment pathways that help solve the healthcare workforce shortage across the DACH region while creating life-changing career opportunities for international healthcare professionals.
The business combines international university partnerships, ethical recruitment, healthcare workforce solutions, and scalable technology into one integrated platform.
Following a successful market launch, the company is now entering its next growth phase and is looking for an entrepreneurial leader to drive international expansion and prepare the business for Series A investment.
What You'll Be Responsible For Drive Commercial Growth across DACH
Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Germany and Austria
Build strategic partnerships with healthcare providers and key stakeholders
Lead commercial operations, pricing and full P&L responsibility
Represent the company towards governments, public institutions and industry partners
Build an International Education Ecosystem
Establish long-term partnerships with universities and education providers
Create scalable education-to-employment pathways
Ensure academic excellence and alignment with European healthcare needs
Scale Operations
Build scalable international operations across recognition, visa, onboarding and compliance
Develop governance, quality standards and the company's operational platform
Ensure ethical recruitment and sustainable growth
Lead the Next Growth Phase
Shape the long-term business strategy together with the founder
Prepare the company for Series A through robust KPIs, governance and investor reporting
Build the leadership team and organizational capabilities
What We're Looking For You have successfully built, scaled or transformed businesses in international environments and enjoy creating structures where none yet exist.
Ideally, you bring experience from one or more of the following sectors: healthcare, education, staffing or workforce solutions, international partnerships and global mobility.
You also bring:
A strong entrepreneurial mindset with hands‑on execution skills
Excellent commercial judgement and business development experience
Confidence working with senior stakeholders across different cultures
Experience navigating complex regulatory environments
Fluency in both German and English
A high degree of international travel flexibility, with regular travel across the DACH region and to international partner countries
