Design, govern, and evolve secure, scalable, and cost‑efficient AWS cloud architectures aligned to business and application requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Define AWS cloud architecture for new builds, migrations, and modernisation programsTranslate business and non‑functional requirements into target AWS designsOwn landing zone design (accounts, IAM, networking, security, governance)Select appropriate AWS services (IaaS, PaaS, serverless) and define reference architecturesEnsure architecture aligns to security, resilience, performance, and cost‑optimisation principlesCollaborate with application, network, security, and DevOps teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutionsProvide technical leadership, design assurance, and architectural sign‑off.
Core Skills / Technologies
- AWS core services: VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, ELB, Auto Scaling
- Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation / Terraform)
- Security and governance: IAM, logging, monitoring, compliance controls
- Cloud migration patterns, HA/DR design, and cost optimisation
- Strong stakeholder communication and design documentation skills
