We are looking for the next possible date for a

Project and Data Manager – Automatic Passenger Counting (m/f/d)*

(min. 30 hours per week) to strengthen our dedicated team in Göttingen.

We – VSN GmbH – have been performing various tasks for transport companies and public transport authorities in the South Lower Saxony Transport Association for more than 25 years. As the central mobility service provider for the districts of Göttingen, Northeim, Holzminden and the city of Göttingen, we are committed to sustainable and future-oriented mobility. Your tasks:

In our team, you will be responsible for supporting the transport companies in the VSN with the installation, monitoring and operation of automatic passenger counting systems (AFZS) including interfaces and data flows, processing and analyzing demand data as well as setting up and further developing the system. Your area of responsibility will also include:

• Ensuring the data quality and data analysis of passenger counting
• Monitoring the systems and evaluating passenger counts
• Introduction of the background software
• Further development as a user
• Reporting and creation of reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Communication with manufacturers, transport companies and public authorities

What you bring with you:

• Degree or university degree or comparable vocational training in the field of IT/local public transport or a comparable qualification with experience in the field of IT/local public transport
• High affinity for IT topics and data analysis as well as MS Office skills
• Experience in dealing with relevant software solutions
• You work independently and on your own responsibility
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Also desirable would be:

• Experience in data analysis and passenger counting
• Experience with common hardware and software of the technical infrastructure of the public transport
• Motivation to participate in the further development of public transport
