Chief Technology Officer (CTO) WeGait is an Austrian robotics startup developing a next-generation B2B lower-limb exoskeleton as a medical device for gait rehabilitation.
Beyond achieving the best possible clinical outcomes for patients recovering from stroke or spinal cord injury, WeGait focuses on enabling efficient and scalable physiotherapy workflows in inpatient rehabilitation centers, helping to address the growing pressure on healthcare systems.
Building on its existing concept and intellectual property, WeGait is now advancing the technology into a certified medical device for international commercialization. To support this next stage of development, we are looking for a CTO.
Responsibilities
Define WeGait's technology strategy and product roadmap.
Build and lead a high-performing engineering organization.
Lead product development, regulatory approval, and market launch.
Represent our technology to investors, partners, and regulators.
Requirements
Strong entrepreneurial mindset with proven leadership experience.
Commercialization of at least one medical device or closely related product.
Experience in regulated medical device development (MDR / ISO 13485).
Broad technical expertise in embedded systems, hardware-software integration, and cloud/IoT, with the ability to strategically plan complex system architectures.
Professional proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
