Weltec Engineering is seeking a dynamic Graduate/Junior EHS Officer to join our team for a project in the Leixlip Area.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to kick-start your career in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with our client to ensure project adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Prepare comprehensive Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Conduct EHS audits and investigations, implementing corrective and preventative actions as needed.
- Provide expert advice on site EHS best practices to Project Management.
- Plan and deliver EHS training sessions, including 'Toolbox Talks.'
- Report on EHS performance metrics as required.
- Assist Senior Safety Officers and the EHS Department, including providing site cover relief when necessary.
- Maintain the EHS Safety Management System to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- A level 7 qualification in Health and Safety.
- Experience in the construction sector is desirable, though not essential. Exposure to Pharma, Med/Tech, or other high-compliance environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships with project stakeholders.
- A customer-focused and proactive mindset.
- Proficiency in IT skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
