Our consultants live in different German states, some work part-time and most of them claim travel costs, so no two payroll months look the same. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to run Wert Group's payroll in-house, from collecting the changes to sending the payments. The role is full-time and you work from home, wherever you are in Germany.

Responsibilities
- Run the monthly payroll for all employees in DATEV, from data entry to the payment files
- Process new hires, leavers, salary changes, parental leave and sick pay
- Submit the reports to the social insurance funds and the tax office
- Treat travel expenses and benefits in kind correctly for tax
- Answer employees' questions about their payslips
- Reconcile the payroll accounts with our accountant every month
Requirements
- Completed commercial training or a degree, for example in business administration
- At least one year of payroll work in Germany, apprenticeships included
- Working knowledge of German wage tax and social insurance rules
Nice to Have
- DATEV Lohn und Gehalt or LODAS
- A payroll qualification such as Personalfachkaufmann or Lohn- und Gehaltsbuchhalter (IHK)
- Personio or another HR system
