The Employment Counsel / Senior Employment Counsel / Head of Employment Legal advises on workplace matters, employment agreements, employee relations, and organisational change. The role works with HR, leadership, and external counsel to assess legal risks, support investigations, manage disputes, and develop employment policies.

Senior Employment Counsel positions handle complex matters and provide specialist guidance. Head of Employment Legal positions also lead the employment legal function, set priorities, and oversee significant workplace litigation and advisory work.

Qualifications

• Law degree and professional admission appropriate to the role and jurisdiction.
• Relevant experience in employment law, gained in-house or in private practice.
• Strong knowledge of employment issues relevant to the organisation’s locations.
• Experience advising on contracts, workplace policies, disciplinary matters, and grievances.
• Ability to support investigations and organisational changes with practical legal guidance.
• Experience managing employment disputes and coordinating external counsel.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Discretion and sound judgement when handling sensitive employee matters.
• For senior positions, substantial experience independently advising on complex employment issues.
• For head positions, proven leadership and ability to advise executive stakeholders.
