Overview

In this role you will drive technical transformation in manufacturing and quality operations by implementing automated inspection processes. You will lead the introduction of new technology, develop process improvements, and manage equipment life cycle and validation. You will provide technical and quality support for metrology related to elastomer and primary containment products on a global scale, collaborating with engineering, operations, IT, and QA teams. This is a hybrid role with a strong focus on delivering innovative inspection solutions and harmonizing practices across locations.

Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Identify, test, design, and develop automated inspection solutions to measure product dimensions and detect defects
  • Integrate inspection equipment into automated production lines and scale solutions to production
  • Lead continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives
  • Coordinate validation documentation, protocols, and issue triage with site SMEs
  • Ensure procedures and systems enable new processes and equipment
  • Support training of personnel on new processes and systems
  • Harmonize best practices across West locations globally; perform gap analyses
  • Interface with customers and suppliers on inspection and quality projects
  • Contribute to data integrity alignment projects for inspection equipment
  • Work with cross-functional teams to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Conduct data trend analyses to support continuous improvement
  • Participate in budgeting and business planning; prepare data/presentations for senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with cGMPs, FDA and related regulations
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures

Zentrale Anforderungen

  • Minimum 5 years in a technical or engineering field
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing automation and quality plans for high-speed manufacturing
  • Experience with machine control systems and integrated manufacturing control
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and both teamwork and individual contributor capability
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking for troubleshooting and root cause analysis
