School-Level Assessment Coordinator


Job Summary


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Attend all County-level required assessment trainings

  • Oversee benchmark and summative assessment administration for all State and County mandated assessments that apply to the school assignment (i-Ready, Cambium, College Board, etc.)

  • Work closely with building and County-level administration to monitor utilization of assessment prep tools such as i-Ready MyPath, Cambium Modules, MasteryPrep, etc.)

  • Create and manage student and teacher accounts in assessment portals

  • Create and manage rosters in assessment portals

  • Monitor completion of benchmark and summative assessments

  • Monitor/verify assessment accommodations in WVEIS and assessment portals

  • Maintain proper assessment procedures and protocols outlined in Policy 2340: WV Measures of Academic Progress

  • Communicate with students/families regarding assessment windows and schedules, state provided assessment information, and family access to student reports

  • Provide support and training to all school-level test administrators for test administration

  • Provide support to teachers for effective data analysis to inform instruction

  • Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures

  • Utilize the available reporting systems to collect student data

  • Manage secure assessment documents

  • Work closely with building administration

  • Communicate with the County-level assessment director

  • Other duties may be assigned in the event that changes are made to assessment requirements at the State and/or County-level


Qualifications



  • 1. Bachelor’s Degree with a 2.5 GPA or equivalent

  • 2. Valid WV Teaching Certification, Licensure, and/or Both

  • 3. Valid West Virginia driver’s license

  • 4. Minimum of 5 years teaching experience

  • 5. Teacher/Administrator at the school where assessments will occur

  • 6. Demonstrates proper and professional verbal and written communication skills

  • 7. Demonstrates positive, professional communication and relationships with co-workers, administrators, service employees, students, and parents


Working Conditions


$1,000 per school year ($500 per semester)
