Financial Accountant in Frankfurt am Main

Westhafen now has its own entity in Germany for the reviews it runs for German family businesses, and that entity needs proper books under HGB. We are hiring a Financial Accountant in Germany to keep them. Our New York office is six hours behind, so most of your day is yours and the shared calls come in your afternoon. The job is full-time and home-based.
Westhafen advises boards and owners on capital allocation, organization, succession and acquisitions. Head office: New York.
THE WORK ITSELF

• Book incoming and outgoing invoices, bank transactions and expenses in DATEV
• Prepare VAT returns and the monthly figures for our tax advisor
• Reconcile accounts and prepare accruals for the month-end close
• Support the annual financial statements under HGB
• Prepare intercompany statements for the New York office

WHAT YOU NEED

1. Vocational training in a commercial field or a degree in business with a focus on accounting
2. Some experience in bookkeeping or financial accounting, apprenticeship included.
3. Experience with DATEV or another accounting system
4. Further training as Bilanzbuchhalter (bonus)
5. Experience with a small international company (bonus).
