Tax Associate in Frankfurt am Main

Many of the decisions Westhafen reviews for German owners have a tax side: a sale, a restructuring, a succession. Our consultants need someone who can prepare the figures for the client's tax advisor and check what the numbers mean. We are hiring a Tax Associate in Germany. The job is full-time, from home, with the New York office six hours behind.
Qualifications:

• Vocational training as Steuerfachangestellter or a degree in business with a focus on tax
• First experience in tax advisory or accounting, apprenticeship included.
• Experience with DATEV

Responsibilities:

• Prepare tax figures and schedules for client reviews with their tax advisors.
• Check how proposed transactions change a company's tax position.
• Prepare Westhafen's own VAT and tax filings with our tax advisor.
• Keep track of deadlines and documents.
• Research tax questions and summarize them for the consultants.

Not a must, but helpful: further training as Steuerfachwirt or experience with company tax returns and annual financial statements.
