About the role
We're looking for a Tax Analyst on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2). You will be responsible for moderate to complex projects associated with the maintenance of tax records and the preparation of tax returns. The tax returns may include all or specifically assigned returns, separate company corporate income tax returns, partnership tax returns, consolidated tax returns, and related reports. Location: Houston, TX 77024. Hybrid role: training period onsite; Monday & Friday work from home, Tuesday‑Thursday in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare federal/state/local income tax returns, schedules, extensions and payment estimates following our client's tax filing calendar
- Conduct financial and economic analyses, preparing our client's financial plans and budgets and interpreting financial reports and tax returns
- Research inquiries from government agencies regarding filings, compliance, and other claims; prepare tax calculations to support tax controversy analyses
- Conduct tax assumptions in project models
- Perform other job‑related responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: 2+ years
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range is estimated to be $30.00/hr. to $35.00/hr. Most positions qualify for benefits including:
